The majority in Britain are struggling in chronic poverty unable to pay bills or purchase quality food. Meanwhile both the House of Commons & the House of Lords enjoy privilege beyond imagination.

Should we be surprised that 294 MP's voted against a parliamentary request to hold an investigation into 'Hunger and Food Poverty' in the UK ?

These Lords & MP's hold many assets (many hidden from public view), including savings & (second income wages). There are Lords & MP's who gain extra payments from industrial lobbyist.

Benefit Claimants are quite rightly 'angry' at those who sit in an 'undemocratic & an unelected House of Lords. Those MP's & those who sit in the Lords firmly believe it's OK to hold two jobs & enjoy a subsidsed restaurant & bar.

In contrast benefit claimants are struggling to buy food, pay bills or receive benefit payments'. Claimants are forced to work for free under 'Workfare' or risk benefit suspension for up to 3 years. We're demonised & patronised on a daily basis within the media. In recent years in Britain we have witness the parliamentary expenses scandal - it seems fiddling your expenses is also acceptable within the House of Lords

This
House of Commons is looking after its 'own' - ask this question : For whom does so-called 'British Parliamentary Democracy' represent ?

Our conclusion ...... contemptuous !!!
